Lazy days of summer

What better way to spend Boxing Day than packing up the left-overs and heading down to the beach for a picnic! As the beach is only a 7 minute walk and the weather has been hot and sunny, we have spent a lot of time there since Christmas. Jamie and Caitlyn amuse themselves playing in the sand and water for hours. |

We decided to sell our Buccanneer 550 boat just prior to Christmas. We don't have a parking spot for it at our new house and, for the amount of use we got out of it, it was not worth paying the costly fees at a storage facility. We did however keep the inflatable to potter around in, modelled by Belinda in the photo below. Jamie got a small inflatable boat for Christmas and enjoyed rowing down at the beach. |

Tashi has enjoyed walking and meeting other dogs at the Waiatarua Reserve. She is still as mischievous as ever and will make a run for it if the opportunity should arise. We are now heading to Wellington for a week which will be her first long car trip. |
