Today was the day for the ultrasound scan which showed that we have just one, very healthy baby boy! It also showed that he
is not due until 8 August (one week later than we thought). Luckily we have had no trouble agreeing on a boy's name, a girl's
name was proving a little more difficult. Melissa's reaction was "cool, hee hee", she wasn't so keen on our choice of name.
Yesterday was Gary's 50th birthday. The weekend celebrations began at work when the staff organised a "Hairy Fairy" singing
telegram. Video evidence shows some prancing about in the Boardroom as well as the singing of an "interesting" little song. We
later went on to meet up with Melissa and have a meal and coffee in town.
On Saturday a very good friend, Ian Henderson, organised a barbecue at his place which went very well despite a little
unseasonable weather. Belinda was seen to fall asleep during the evening, she has trouble lasting these days. Fortunately the
night did not go too late, which is unusual for events at the Henderson household.
Sunday was spent at Raumati with the family having a birthday lunch before we returned to Auckland. To finish off today we
had morning tea at work and a large birthday cake was produced for one of my colleagues and I. He turned 60 yesterday so
the cake congratulated us on achieving 110 years.
